Memorial Day Weekend

So, this weekend we celebrate Memorial Day. Yes, we will partake in some sale shopping and one family cookout, but mostly we will be staying around the house. I think it is important for all of us to remember the sacrifice that has been made by the men and women in our military in "celebrating" this weekend. As I type this, I have to think of my oldest brother, who would want us to remember the soldiers from as far back as the Revolutionary War that helped separate our country from British rule. Then, of course, we must remember each of the military men (and women) since then, in times of peace and war, that remained true to the cause of defending our "life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness."
Thank you, ladies and gentlemen, for the many sacrifices you make (or made) every day for our freedom and well-being, here at home. May you be blessed, and truly recognized for your most important work.
